Abstract

The misunderstanding of the essence of educational milieu and the basis of study have caused the appearance of elitism among literates. The outputs of educational institution have identified themselves as a group owning the higher stratum in the social context. In this case they become the individuals abstracted from its social root so that become the "different creature" among their own society. To overcome the problem, alternative solution can be offered is to carry out the education based on the social. In the degree of philosophic, the education based on the social requires the integralization of educational milieu. And in the degree of practice, the education based on the social make the actual social problem as a principal basis of study. This matter, of course, differs from the system of traditional education classify educational milieu at three parts (milieu of family, school, and society), and also make the teacher and curriculum as principal basis of study.
