Abstract

Modernity is something that exists together with the dynamics of human life. Therefore, to refuse modernity is impossible, since modernity has something positive for Moslems, although it also has something negative on the other hand. In such positive side, Islamic education should find a space as the answer of the appearance of modernity so that Islamic education will be always in accordance with the development of era and condition. The step to take, therefore, is using the approach of theology paradigm that lealds to cognitive, affective, and psychomotor areas, by paying attention to the areas of soul, mind and body.
