Abstract

The numerical ability of students needs to be mastered because it relates to speed and accuracy in using basic functions in calculating basic mathematical operations. This study aims to determine the impact of the Group Investigation (GI) learning model on numerical ability. The research method used is Quasi Experimental using a quantitative approach. The instrument used in the form of essay test questions. The data used are the results of the posttest analysed with T test. Based on the data obtained Tcount= 5,849 and Ttable = 2,005 because Tcount ≥ Ttable it means that the numerical ability of students taught with GI learning model is better than the numerical ability of students who were given conventional learning model so it can be concluded that, Group Investigation (GI) learning model has a good impact on students' numerical ability.
