Abstract

This research examines the fundamentalist rules in the book Al-Muwafaqat by Imam Abu Ishaq Al-Shatibi. The problem raised in it is what are the sources of the fundamentalist rules in the book Al-Muwafaqat of Imam Abi Ishaq Al-Shatibi? And how is the methodology for revealing the truth of the fundamentalist rules in the book Al-Muwafaqat of Imam Abi Ishaq Al-Shatibi? This research is a desk research. Its data comes from library sources, both primary and binary. The method of data collection is documentary, which is collected in writing. The method of analyzing it is the analysis of the content that the researcher uses in analyzing the connection between the purposes of Sharia and the principles of jurisprudence and its rules in understanding the texts and deriving their rulings. This research has two results: the first, the diversification of the sources of the fundamentalist rules according to Al-Shatibi are as follows: fundamentalist rules with a verbal source, fundamentalist rules with a logical source, fundamentalist rules with a jurisprudential source, fundamentalist rules with a linguistic source, and fundamentalist rules with a linguistic source. Sufi source, and fundamentalist rules with a Quranic source, and fundamentalist rules with a hadith source, and authentic fundamentalist rules. These sources are graphic, mystical and demonstrative. Second, the methods used to reveal the truth of the fundamentalist rules in the approvals are: a descriptive approach, a demonstrative approach, a deductive approach, and a critical approach.
