Abstract

Between tarekat education and modern Islamic education often supposed as paradox. It is caused education in tarekat appreciated irrelevant with modernity norm otherwise modern education is irrelevant with tarikat norms either. This article tries to dialogue between moral education within tarikat perspective and moral education within modern perspective. This article has conclusion that; between tarikat education and modern education has different stressing in moral problem. Tarikat education gives more stressing on morality to Lord, whereas modern education gives more stressing on human being. The difference of this point of view will influence the effort on its education. The tarika education has effort with tazkiyatun nafs though teacher’s guidance. While modern education has effort to work together all aspects namely teacher, parents, and society in the frame of supporting awareness to students about the importance of good moral and supporting to intend doing any activity consequently. Because of both of these educations have formula by themselves about moral certainly and will implicate to education effort. So it is not enforceable to follow one each other. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Tarekat, Pendidikan Modern
