Abstract

Abstract: This paper attempts to discuss gender justice in the Islamic Worldview related to the growing contemporary discourse on the issue of gender equality. Is equality in line with Islam's mission in the Qur'an. Because it is undeniable that many verses of the Qur'an raise the issue of position between men and women are equal, but that does not mean that equality means equality between the two in all aspects. How do Islamic scholars interpret verses from the Qur'an which are considered equality arguments. Because indeed the concept of equality itself is still a long debate today. The goal is that this paper can reformulate Gender in the frame of an Islamic point of view that is far from the bias of isms that do not originate from Islam. In Islam, the empowerment of Muslim women and women in general is an inseparable part of efforts to improve the quality of piety in the broadest possible sense. The presence or absence of the concept of gender, and certainly not in the name of gender. The meaning of gender for liberal feminists is seen in the perspective of the faith, trying to answer the legitimacy of liberal feminist thinking because it may be that the term gender is not just a mere word or term, but is a concept contained in it a certain mission, philosophy, and ideology, and it has to do with one's faith.
